Committal and Memorial Services
Swan Point has three beautiful chapels, which may be adapted for use by all religious faiths for funerals, memorial services and committal services. On occasion, the chapels are used as a substitute for graveside services when needed, such as during inclement weather.
Service Price Schedule
Swan Point Cemetery has been serving Providence and the surrounding community with compassion and dignity since 1846. As burial trends and traditions have shifted over the years, Swan Point has met these changing needs by offering alternatives to traditional earth burials.
Swan Point offers a variety of interment options, settings, and price points. Options include traditional earth burial, mausoleum entombment, cremation burial or inurnment in columbarium niches or garden niches, and memorials for those whose ashes have been scattered or whose bodies have been dedicated to science or are elsewhere. Private mausoleum lots are also available for purchase.
Monuments and Memorials
There are countless ways to memorialize loved ones. Memorials provide a focal point for family and friends to express affection and help preserve our heritage. A memorial can be thought of as a customized tribute to a person’s life. The most common memorial is a marker or monument at the cemetery.
Burial lots are available for sale to meet every taste and requirement. In developing new sections of the grounds, the cemetery maintains a policy established in its early years whereby all lots are graded, bound stones set, paths constructed and water drainage lines extended before lots are made available for sale.
Statistics show that nationally, two out of three final interment arrangements are made by widows. One of life’s most difficult decisions need not be made at a time of bereavement. Families are encouraged to discuss burial plans pre-need so that personalized, unhurried decisions can be made.
