THE ESTATE

Gardening Services

Swan Point Cemetery provides a beautifully planted and maintained, garden-like setting for the memorialization of loved ones. All landscaping development is carefully planned to blend harmoniously with the natural contours of the grounds.

All plantings and floral decorations from our onsite greenhouse are tastefully chosen to enhance the interment site’s natural beauty. In the interest of all of our lot owners and to protect the dignity of our cemetery, Swan Point has formal policies in place regarding floral decorations.

flowers-in-greenhouseOnly natural plant materials may be placed on graves. No artificial decorations are permitted within the cemetery. On any special occasion, potted plants, cut flowers or wreaths may be set out, however, they may not be planted in the ground. Floral decorations for the summer and winter seasons can be ordered through our Gardening Service.

Plantings

Plantings are permitted only when performed by cemetery personnel under annual and perpetual care contracts with the lot owner.

Memorial Day

Cut flowers and potted flowers brought by visitors may remain on lots or niche sites up to 10 days following the holiday. After this time they will be removed by cemetery personnel.

Removal

Any flowers that no longer contribute to the beauty of the grounds will be removed at the discretion of cemetery personnel. Artificial flowers, large urns, boxes or other items that do not conform to the cemetery’s rules and regulations will be removed by authorized cemetery personnel.

Floral arrangements ordered for the summer season and the winter season can be ordered through Swan Point’s Gardening Service.

(In-ground planting is not permitted.)

Winter Flowers
