Redwood Mausoleum, Columbarium and Chapel
The Redwood complex provides options for both community entombment and inurnment. Located in the southwest section of the cemetery, this building is designed in a variation of English Country Gothic and Arts and Crafts Movement styles to blend harmoniously with the earlier cemetery buildings.
The Mausoleum portion of the building contains granite or marble-faced interior and exterior crypts, offered in single, tandem and double spaces. For those choosing cremation with memorialization, the Redwood Columbarium offers an array of interior, glass and marble front niches. Electronic passkeys for private access are provided to those who select interior crypts or niches.
With seating for 100 people, the Redwood Chapel was designed in a manner similar to the historic Chapel located in the administration building. Large arched, oak beams frame the ceiling and an intricate pattern of limestone floor tiles combined with handcrafted furnishings provide a warm Arts and Craft style environment. Whether you choose casket burial, entombment or cremation, the Chapel provides an appropriate setting for full funeral and memorial services. The audio system is equipped to accommodate the hearing impaired.
A magnificent collection of stained glass windows with floral designs is found throughout the fully climate-controlled building. All of the windows in the Chapel and Columbarium are offered as memorials.
Landscaping details on the complex’s grounds include a grove of Dawn Redwood trees and private trellised seating areas. A semi-circular entrance road connects Birch Road to Larch Way with parking space for 60 vehicles within a short walk from the complex. Handicap parking is available close to the building.
